Smoke curtains:
Smoke curtains: are a designed as a barrier to contain and channel away smoke.
To act :as a smoke seperating element within a building. design to prevent the passage of smoke, heat for a perdetemined period of time.
Smoke curtains: are designed to activate on receipt of a signal from a fire alarm system, or a suitably positioned smoke/ fire detectors.
Fail safe options: Battery back up system are designed to operated the smoke/ fire curtains in the event of a power failure.

The most common type is an automaic smoke curtain is manufactured from fire resistant fabric material, which is attached to a roller barrell and driven electrically by a tubular motor, with the complete assambly housed within a casing which is mounted within a void in a ceiling
